The Asia colleagues of the Task Team on the boat to Seoul 2010 regional meeting

In an Asian-specific teleconference (TC) held on Monday November 23rd 2009, participants involved in the regional platform of the task team on South-South cooperation (TT-SSC) discussed the preparation of the regional meeting in Seoul in January 2010 and the next steps in analytical work. The TC addressed the strategic objectives for the regional meeting, its participants and agenda, as well as the lessons learned for the previous regional meetings in Bogotá and Addis Abeba.

The regional meeting in Seoul will take place in a crucial moment of the case story process and the preparations of the HLE in Bogotá. It will intend to discuss generated case stories and studies, generating regional key messages and perspectives for the policy-making process at the Bogotá event. The agenda will be inspired by the TT-SSC draft guidelines for regional meetings. Participants will include CDDE members, emerging donors, regional think tanks and, importantly, representatives of the submitted case stories. A specific issue to clarify is the funding of partner country participation.
