The Bogotá Statement - Towards Effective and Inclusive Development Partnerships - was posted earlier today on the site of the High-Level Event on South-South Cooperation, which will take place on March 24-25, 2010.

For a copy of the statement, click here.

The Bogotá Statement is a consensus document that has been prepared by the Steering Committee of the High-Level Event, based on a rigorous process of regional consultations, during meetings in Bogotá (Oct 2009), Paris (Dec. 2009), Seoul (Feb 2010) and Pretoria (March 2010). It is grounded in the learning experiences derived from the case story process as well as the preparatory activities of the roundtables that will take place at the Bogota event.

During the High-Level Event, section 3d of the document will be enriched by the Steering Committee with the outcomes of the Roundtables. The statement will be presented by the Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs on March 25 at the High-Level Event in Bogota during Plenary V. Participants will be invited to endorse the statement if they wish to do so.
