Thoughts on Brokering Mechanism



The result from the recent survey on brokering mechanism for South-South Cooperation indicates that there is a high potential for SSC initiatives. This is constrained by lack of knowledge on “how to”, availability of information, high cost of maintenance and weak institutional capacities. Botswana urged India to do more for South-South Cooperation. In a meeting aimed at reinforcing the collaboration between India and southern Africa, the two countries affirmed the need for the developing world to speak with one voice on issues of common concern.
