An example of a South-South cooperation project in the health sector that has been successful is between Kenya and Namibia. The two countries in place a Memorandum of Understanding  in technical cooperation in health through which Namibian medical personnel  who were instumental in establishing  Namibia´s first cardiac unit were trained in Kenya. A number of cardiologists from Kenya also went to Namibia to transfer their expertise to Nambian specialists. Under this cooperation, Namibia has recruited Kenyan nurses to work in hospitals throughout Namibia. The latest batch of eleven arrived in Namibia early this week.
