Africa Preparatory Meeting on South-South Cooperation
4-5 November 2009, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
This meeting was planned to be held on
the margins of the 10th UN Regional Coordination Mechanism
(RCM).
The RCM is an instrument under the
leadership of UN Deputy Secretary General, Ms Asha Rose-Migiro,
whereby all UN Agencies working in Africa, formally provide their
support to the African Union and the NEPAD Programme. The RCM meets
annually to review and monitor progress within its 9 clusters which
reflect the AU/NEPAD priority sectors or the defined priorities for
Africa.
