As part of the Knowledge and Innovation Space (KIS) at the Busan High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness, partners from policy, practice and academia will share lessons learnt and future prospects in a debate on horizontal partnerships.
Drawing on the analytical process coordinated by the Task Team on South-South cooperation, this debate will generate key messages from the participants to be taken into account for the design and implementation of the “Building Block" on South‐South and Triangular Cooperation.
---------------
As outlined in the concept note (see [pdf]) the debate will be structured in four break-out groups:
1.- How to build country-led mechanisms to share knowledge for development through SSC? (see explanatory note) - Group facilitated by South-South Opportunity member Sebastien Longhurst, Antioquia University Colombia
2.- How could CoPs and regional platforms contribute to enhance the exchange among Southern partners? (note) - Facilitated by SSO member Joaquim Tres, Inter-American Development Bank.
3.- What can non-governmental actors - academia, private sector and civil society - contribute to improve SSC? (note) - Facilitated by Héctor Aguirre, Mancomunidad del Trifinio, El Salvador-Guatemala-Honduras
4.- Where is the multilateral support for SSC most relevant, and how can it complement country efforts? (note) Facilitated by SSO member Dave Kruger, Asian Development Bank Institute
